a. Formation of Self Help Group :

AGUS started to formed of SHG in the year 1998. In the year 2007-2008 there are newly 35 SHG were formed. There are 235 SHG at present formed by our society. Among the groups there are 80% Female groups. Each group have 10-19 members.                                                                     

b. Training & Promotion of Self Help Group:

AGUS arranged some different training for SHG. These are like Book-keeping & Accountancy Vocational, Animal Husbandry, Loan Recovery, Small business etc. AGUS have been able to link 40 SHG with the RGVN Micro Credit Scheme. Another 18 SHG with the local Banks. More over arranged some skill development training collaboration with DRDA, NABARD and other departments.

c. Free Health Check-up Camp:

AGUS organized regular free health check-up camp at different parts of the Sivasagar District and its adjoining area. Recent camps included Patsaku, Mezenga, Kaloogaon, and Bogidole. AGUS also organized  Blood donation camp at Bogidole Panch Ali in the month of October.

d. Social Service Programme:

Every year our society doing some social service in rural area under the direction of societies Executive Committee like, tree plantation, road making in village area of nearest villages of Sivasagar District.

e. Youth Festival with Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK):

AGUS organized the youth festival with NYK at Bogidole. The members of NYK, the Executive Committee, the members of AGUS, and the rural people of different villages were present at the meeting. The NYK members gives some very valuable speech about the Youth and Rural Development. The Secretary of AGUS Mr. Bhuban Kr. Hazarika speaks on the topic about Youth Development.

f. Competition of Students:

We are very glade to state that we organized various literacy competitions among the students of rural area. The competitions are Quiz, Drawing, Poem etc. In every year AGUS organized the competitions in proper times.

g. GRC Activity:

In the year 2007-2008 RGVN given the GRC (Grass Root Resource Center) for AGUS. Which is very good news for all of the Executive members and the people of Sivasagar District. RGVN also appointed a coordinator, computer instructress and a peon 

for GRC. Now we have newly formed 10 nos. CBO’s at different places of Sivasagar district. The names of the CBO’s are mentioned below.
